The quest to explore the world of mangroves is not new to all. There has been an increase in scientific concern about the future of natural ecosystems such as mangroves. It is well recognized that mangroves in the Philippines are ecosystems at risk. On the part of educators or the academe, there is a strong conviction to assist the government and other advocacy groups in protecting the fragile ecosystem of the mangroves. This computer aided or assisted instruction module 'A MANGROVE THE MANGROVE ECOSYSTEMS OF THE ISLAND PROVINCE OF CATANDUANES, PHILIPPINES VIEW OF attempts to provide information on the biology, ecology and conservation of mangroves.
Both the student and the teacher interested about Natural Ecosystems, Coastal Ecology, Environmental Biology, Conservation Biology and Environmental Studies can use this material. The topics presented are relatively short and can easily be understood by Non-Science students who are taking Natural Science subjects. It is hoped that this guide will contribute to certain gaps on the lack of reference materials.
